The New England Patriots defeated the Tennessee Titans 31-13 in Week 7, handing coach Mike Vrabel a victory against his former team.
Quarterback Drake Maye orchestrated the offense with precision, delivering one of the most efficient performances in franchise history.
His display stood out not only for effectiveness but also for the statistical milestones he achieved throughout the contest.
“Drake Maye is the first #Patriots QB in team history to throw at least 20 passes in a game and have a completion percentage over 90%,” Jordan Schultz wrote, adding, “Maye has also tied Tom Brady (2007 – the undefeated season!) with 4 games of at least 200 passing yards, a 135.0 rating and 2 passing TDs.”

Maye completed 21 of 23 passes for a completion percentage of 91.3%, surpassing Tom Brady’s previous franchise record of 88.5% set in December 2009.
He threw for over 200 yards with two touchdown passes and added 60 rushing yards on the ground.
The performance marked his sixth consecutive game with at least 200 passing yards and a passer rating above 100, showcasing his growing command of the offense.
Maye also became the fourth player in the Super Bowl era to record at least two passing touchdowns, two or fewer incompletions, and 60 or more rushing yards in a single game.
He joined Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III, and Walter Payton in that exclusive category.
The former North Carolina star has now gone four straight games without a turnover, a stretch that coincides with New England’s fourth consecutive victory.
The Patriots improved to 5-2 and currently hold first place in the AFC East.
While Maye still has ground to cover before matching the standards Brady established in New England, his second season continues to show promising development as he works toward restoring the team’s championship pedigree.
