Draft Analyst Compares Cade Klubnik To 1 Former NFL QB

The 2025 season hasn’t even started, and people are already talking about the 2026 NFL Draft.

Experts and scouts have their eyes on players for years before they come into the league, and the analysis picks up the closer they are to being drafted.

Even though the 2026 draft is almost a year away, most experts are excited about the class, especially the top quarterbacks.

Cade Klubnik is said to be among those top QB prospects, and one more strong year at Clemson could solidify his position as a top-10 pick.

Expert Daniel Jeremiah did his best to compare Klubnik to a similar NFL QB, something that helps fans conceptualize what that player might look like when he gets to the league.

“I spent a lot of time combing through old reports to find a comp for Klubnik. I couldn’t find one that stood out as an ideal match, but his notes read similar to the ones I made for Ryan Tannehill when he was coming out of Texas A&M,” Jeremiah wrote.

Tannehill was an interesting prospect when he was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, and he had his fair share of ups and downs in his 11 seasons, including time with the Tennessee Titans.

Klubnik has at least one more season to impress, but at this point, Tannehill seems to be a fair comparison.

It will be interesting to see how the 2025 season plays out and which teams will be in line to draft a quarterback in the top 10.

Considering there are several highly rated prospects other than Klubnik, including Arch Manning of Texas, he’ll have to be at his best if he wants to be among the first QBs taken.
