A Gianluigi Donnarumma mistake has allowed Arsenal back into their Premier League title showdown with Manchester City.

After a moment of magic from Rayan Cherki to put the hosts ahead in a crucial battle for the crown, the Italian goalkeeper had a moment he will want to forget just two minutes after his side took the lead.

From what appeared to be a routine backpass, Donnarumma hesitated before trying to play the ball out from the back.

But he was too slow, allowing a charging Kai Havertz to close the ball down and block it, with the rebound heading straight into the back of the net.

It put the game back in the balance after City had quelled Arsenal’s initial pressure, although there is still plenty of time left for either side to grab a winner.
