The Los Angeles Rams are 2-0 to start the season, joining the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals atop the leaderboard in the NFC West.
There was a lot of talk about the NFC North being the best division in football this season, which still could be the case, but the NFC West is trying to throw its hat in the ring with these three undefeated teams.
The Rams made several offseason additions in hopes of improving their outlook, and it is looking like those additions have paid off, at least to this point.
One of the players they brought in was veteran wideout Davante Adams, coming in alongside Puka Nacua as Cooper Kupp’s replacement.
Kupp and Matthew Stafford had a noted connection, but when he and the Rams couldn’t agree on a contract, he left for the Seattle Seahawks, leaving a hole behind for Adams to fill.
Adams is now on his fourth NFL team and seems to be very impressed with Stafford through two games.
He mentioned as much in a recent segment on Kay Adams’ show, “Up & Adams,” talking about what Stafford brings to the table as a veteran QB.
“Dude’s a magician. I’m not really that shocked. He’s special. Dudes like Aaron, dudes like Matthew Stafford, these dudes are like Steph Curry. It doesn’t matter how many throws we have in practice. You think he’s practicing the ball like that? No. He’s dropping back, stepping up, and he’s throwing the ball normal because that’s the way you’re supposed to practice. You got one shot to make that work. I thank God that I have a quarterback like him for sure,” Adams said.

He mentioned Aaron Rodgers, a quarterback he spent most of his career with, and Steph Curry, who is the most prolific three-point shooter in NBA history.
Both players are legendary in their own right, so comparing Stafford to them is no small thing.
It will be interesting to see what this team will be able to accomplish this season, and if Stafford and his pass-catchers can keep this momentum moving.
