The Dallas Cowboys‘ Week 11 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders was important for a number of reasons. It also featured the return of a player who received high praise from his team leader.

Quarterback Dak Prescott named his favorite Cowboys player, a young defender who has faced a lot of hardship during his two NFL seasons.

“Dak Prescott said that he has a favorite player: DeMarvion Overshown. He commended his energy and willingness to grind through two rehabs over the last two seasons,” Nick Harris wrote on X.

Overshown made his season debut against Las Vegas following almost a year off the field due to a devastating ACL and MCL injury. But despite being sidelined for all of that time, Overshown never lost faith in himself or a desire to get better and deliver for his team.

That’s what has most impressed Prescott. It obviously had a huge impact on the star quarterback, because he could have chosen any number of players as his favorite, but he selected someone who has faced uncertainty and setbacks and still held strong and kept fighting.

The Cowboys are facing an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Yet no matter how the season turns out, it’s obvious that the team has created a strong bond.

This statement from Prescott is the latest piece of evidence that shows the team is committed to one another. Overshown isn’t going to just help on defense, but he will provide good energy and chemistry as well.
