Confirmed line-ups with Yamal back in Blaugrana squad

Lamine Yamal is back in the Barcelona squad against Real Sociedad, but will have to wait to make his return having been named on the bench.

Yamal has missed Barca’s last four games because of a groin injury, his absence coming after he controversially took painkillers to play for Spain during the most recent international break.

But he is fit enough to play some part against Sociedad, though Hansi Flick’s decision to keep him on the bench is likely one made with an eye on the visit of Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Flick has made seven changes from the side that beat Real Oviedo 3-1.

Wojciech Szczesny comes in for Joan Garcia in goal, while Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen replace Eric Garcia and Pau Cubarsi at the back.

Frenkie de Jong takes the place of Martin Casado in midfield. Roony Bardghji makes only his second start for the club in place of Raphinha, and teenager Dro Fernandez makes his debut, taking the spot vacated by Dani Olmo.

Up front, Robert Lewandowski leads the line instead of Ferran Torres.

Barcelona: Szczesny; Kounde, Christensen, Araujo, Martin; De Jong, Pedri; Bardghji, Dro Fernandez, Rashford; Lewandowski

Subs: Cubarsi, Ferran, Lamine Yamal, Casado, Olmo, Bernal, Eric Garcia, Jofra, A. Fernandez, Kocher, Eder Aller.
