Foxconn is ramping wages higher to attract workers in order to hit shipment targets:
- media reports indicate that employees at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant are “working overtime every day.”
- factory launched a series of recruitment activities at the end of July
- regular workers have received a personal bonus of RMB 5,400
- dispatched workers an “unprecedented” rebate of RMB 8,000
- after working for three months, the maximum can be hiked further
