Bryce Young Notches Multiple Career-Highs Against Cardinals

The Carolina Panthers are 0-2 to start the season.

That’s not necessarily surprising, but after all that was said of Dave Canales and Bryce Young‘s improvement, it was still somewhat disappointing.

At least the former No. 1 pick gave the fans a glimpse of what this offense could look like in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

As pointed out by Panthers fan account Thomas Wrrld on X, Young posted career highs in pass attempts (55), completions (35), and passing yards (328).

He also had three touchdowns and one interception.

The Panthers put some pressure on the Cardinals late in the game.

They trailed 27-3 and couldn’t get anything going in the first half, but Canales’ in-game adjustments almost paid off.

To be fair, the Cardinals also took their foot off the gas after getting off to such a big lead, but it was an impressive performance nonetheless.

This season might be Young’s final opportunity to be a starter in this league.

Even if he doesn’t live up to the hype that surrounded him when he first came out of Alabama, which, at this point, seems like a long shot, he could still be a decent starter.

However, if the Panthers continue to lose games and he continues to turn the ball over, it will be difficult to make a case for the organization doubling down on its commitment to him.

This will be a make-or-break season for the former No. 1 pick, and hopefully, he will be able to build off this strong second half.
