The San Francisco 49ers traded Deebo Samuel earlier in the offseason.
He wasn’t their most valuable asset at the time, as multiple teams were still keeping tabs on Brandon Aiyuk.
Despite interest from several teams last offseason, the Niners chose to keep Aiyuk and signed him to a lofty contract extension.
Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived, as Aiyuk sustained a season-ending ACL injury.
That’s why, with this season approaching and Aiyuk still not back on the field, trade rumors have surfaced again.
With that in mind, the wide receiver took to social media to call out the haters with a not-so-cryptic post.
“Yall cry baby a** divas be killing the vibes on IG. Smh it Gotta be an age limit On hating! If you 30 years or older just post yo kids and stfu,” Aiyuk posted on his Instagram story, via OurSF49ers.

This is nothing new for Aiyuk.
When he was trying to force his way out of San Francisco, he spent months in a back-and-forth with the fans, haters and organization.
When healthy, there’s no doubt that Aiyuk is one of the prime players at his position.
Then again, there are no guarantees with a player coming off such a complicated injury, and while he’s still relatively young and has more than enough time to recover before the start of the 2025 season, there’s a strong case to be made for trading him.
The Niners might not be able to compete at the highest level this season even with him, and his trade value is unlikely to improve at any point in the immediate future.
For now, it seems like he’s not going anywhere, and he’ll enter the season with a huge chip on his shoulder.
