Borussia Dortmund were left frustrated by K League 1 outfit Ulsan despite the Bundesliga club dominating the first half and eventually breaking the deadlock as they look to reach the last 16 of the Club World Cup.
Dortmund boasted the lion’s share of possession and created several glorious opportunities to score against their already-eliminated opponents. However, Niko Kovac’s side go into the break with just a Daniel Svensson goal at the end of the half to show for it.
Jo Hyeon-woo in the Ulsan goal produced a string of fine saves, mostly to deny Serhou Guirassy a second goal of the tournament. The best of the bunch came late on in the half, clawing away the Guinea international’s goal-bound header.

But despite Kovac’s men meeting a keeper in inspired form, and being guilty of some lax finishing in front of goal themselves, Dortmund remain in a strong position to reach the knockout stages, requiring just a point to progress to the Round of 16.
The majority of Dortmund’s best play has come through Jobe Bellingham, who netted his first goal for his new club in the 4-3 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the weekend.
But, as things stand, the German club are on course to avoid humiliation and make it out of Group F without a hitch.
