Bengals Sign Former Falcons QB

The Cincinnati Bengals are reunited with a familiar face.

More specifically, they’re back together with a former seventh-round pick.

They announced that they signed veteran QB Logan Woodside early on Wednesday.

They didn’t disclose the terms of the deal, but it will most likely be a non-guaranteed one-year contract.

This will be his second stint with the organization that took him in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Bengals cut him in the summer, and he tried his luck in the AAF before getting another shot in the NFL.

He made his regular-season debut with the Tennessee Titans in 2020, and he made 11 appearances for them through 2021.

He also made a couple of appearances for the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 and 2023.

The Bengals also brought him back last season, but his services weren’t required.

Needless to say, he’s going to have his work cut out for him to take the field this season, assuming he even makes the roster.

The Bengals have one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Joe Burrow, and he’s going to be the undisputed starter for as long as he’s healthy.

If he gets hurt again or the team is up big late in a game, they can always turn to his backup, Jake Browning, who did a solid job when he was needed a couple of years ago.

The Bengals spent a lot of money to keep Burrow’s favorite targets in town by giving contract extensions to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
