Barcelona retain hope they can stage a comeback against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League next week but, before that, they have to contend with the small matter of a derby clash with cross-town rivals Espanyol.

Barca will head to the capital on Tuesday night looking to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Atleti but must not lose focus on La Liga.

Last weekend’s results – Barca beat Diego Simeone’s men in the league while Real Madrid lost at Real Mallorca – left the Catalans seven points clear and closing in on another title.

Hansi Flick is likely to make changes for the visit of an Espanyol side who are on a dreadful run having not won this side of Christmas.
