Arsenal can win Premier League and Champions League

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke believes the Gunners can win multiple major honours this season after another impressive outing in the Champions League.

The Premier League side made it six wins from six in Europe, beating Belgian champions Club Brugge 3-0 away from home.

Madueke was among the goals, scoring a goal of the season contender in the first half, before netting with his head in the second.

The win was a true reflection of Arsenal’s squad depth, with William Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka all absent.

Speaking after the game, Madueke said: “The first goal was really nice, second a tap in but the first one was sweet. Delighted with the result.

“Last Champions League game I scored, nice to get another two, hopefully I can bring that form into the league.

“I think the bare minimum I need to give to my team is threat. Obviously trying to score and be as decisive as possible, that’s the next level I need to get to in terms of being consistently decisive for club and country. I think I can reach that level.

“We’re tight, that’s the main thing. We want each other to do well, we know there are loads of minutes for all of us. It’s about all of us as a collective, we know we all have a part to play. That’s the good thing about this team.

“We’re fighting on all fronts. I feel like we can win this competition and win the league, that has to be the aim. We’re in a good place at the moment.”

Arsenal also remain top of the Premier League by two points, despite dropping points to Aston Villa last weekend.

Head coach Mikel Arteta will be hoping their return to form has come at the perfect moment as we head into the busy Christmas period.
