It was reported yesterday that the Angels would be calling up infield prospect Christian Moore, with outfielder Matthew Lugo optioned as the corresponding active roster move. It was unknown at that time how the Angels would be opening a 40-man roster spot. Today, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports that right-hander Sam Bachman will be recalled to take the spot of Shaun Anderson on the active roster. Since Anderson is out of options, he’ll have to be designated for assignment, which would open a 40-man spot for Moore.
