Analyst Downplays Worries About Packers’ Offensive Line

The Green Bay Packers have quickly developed a problem on their offensive line.

After a dominant performance in Week 1, the offensive line allowed Jordan Love to get sacked five times in Week 3.

Some of this was due to the Cleveland Browns’ elite pass-rush, but they were also down two starting offensive linemen, which didn’t help their cause in the loss.

Having a healthy offensive line is crucial to success in the NFL, and the Packers are hoping their Week 5 bye will help them get back to full strength.

Reporter Ryan Wood mentioned this on X, noting that the fully healthy Packers’ offensive line didn’t allow a sack from the Detroit Lions in Week 1, but the Lions sacked Lamar Jackson seven times on Monday Night Football.

This could be an indication that the Lions’ defense has woken up over the past two weeks, but it’s also a sign that the Packers need these offensive linemen to come back soon.

Without them, Love will continue to feel more pressure every week, and Josh Jacobs will have a tougher time breaking off significant runs as well.

Both players had relatively pedestrian nights against the Browns, and it will be interesting to see how the replacements hold up against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Many believe this team can be a Super Bowl contender when they put everything together, but as the San Francisco 49ers have seen in the past few years, injuries can be the difference between a deep run and an early playoff exit.
