Analyst Calls For Key Packers Player To Step Up After Bye Week

The Green Bay Packers have two evident issues right now.

Their special teams have allowed blocked kicks in consecutive weeks, and the offensive line has been subpar.

That’s why analyst Zach Kruse wants to see one player step up his game.

“You know who the Packers really need to play better coming out of the bye? Sean Rhyan. Multi-year starter, in a contract year. But he just hasn’t been good enough despite being one of the healthy linemen. Rhyan really struggled on Sunday night,” Kruse wrote on X.

The Packers’ offensive line has faced some injuries to start the season, and Rhyan hasn’t played well.

Elgton Jenkins might not be cut out to play at center, and as for Aaron Banks and Zach Tom, they need them to get back to full strength and on the field.

Prior to the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys, running back Josh Jacobs hadn’t been a significant factor, but that was mostly because he was facing contact behind the line of scrimmage, which is the fault of the interior of the offensive line.

Jordan Morgan has struggled at guard, and he may be better suited to play tackle.

Rhyan, who was supposed to be the dependable veteran, hasn’t been much better.

The Packers have talent on offense, and they should be much better going forward.

They need to use the bye week to figure out what isn’t working, and that applies to a struggling veteran like Rhyan.
