Abdul Carter, the magnificent Pennsylvania State University pass rusher who is one of the best two or three prospects in this year’s NFL draft, is a player many feel will become a big-time star at the next level.
As far as current NFL stars are concerned, Jalen Hurts, at least in one way is at the top of the mountain after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl championship over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month.
Few people, outside of perhaps a few fans in the Delaware Valley region, think Hurts is the best quarterback in football, but Carter said Hurts is the best in the game because of that Super Bowl LIX victory.
High Praise: PSU star DE Abdul Carter thinks Jalen Hurts is the BEST quarterback in the NFL:
“I feel like whoever was the champion, he’s the best. So I feel like Jalen Hurts established himself. He’d been that, and this year actually winning the championship, he did nothing but… pic.twitter.com/fVe2H7BKxj

Carter is a native of Philadelphia, and Kleiman noted that his dream is to become a member of the Eagles.
Hurts may not be a truly elite QB, but he ran for 630 yards and 14 touchdowns while throwing for 2,903 yards and 18 touchdowns during the 2024 regular season, and in Super Bowl LIX, he went 17 of 22 for 221 yards and two touchdowns while adding 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
As the Eagles gear up for a run at back-to-back Vince Lombardi Trophies, they would certainly love to have a pass rusher who has the type of gifts Carter boasts.
He is an explosive and aggressive player who had 12.0 sacks and led the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) with 24 tackles for loss during the 2024 season.
He led the Nittany Lions to an appearance in the Orange Bowl, where they fell to the University of Notre Dame.
