Dan Campbell Has Honest Admission About Lambeau Field

The Detroit Lions will open a crucial season with a road trip to face the Green Bay Packers.

Lambeau Field is one of the toughest places to win as a visitor, and the Lions traditionally didn’t fare well there.

However, that hasn’t been the case under head coach Dan Campbell.

That’s why it’s not a surprise to hear that he’s actually a big fan of the legendary venue.

“Love Lambeau, it’s awesome, it’s one of those places, on the 8th day, the Good Lord made Lambeau. It’s got that deep history to it. It’s the grass, the elements, the mystique. It’s awesome. If you love football, you love to go play there,” Campbell said.

It’s hard to blame him.

He’s won three games in a row at Lambeau, including a victory in the 2022 regular-season finale that kept the Packers out of the playoffs.

Things might not be as easy this time around, though.

The Packers recently added one of the best defensive players in the game in Micah Parsons.

He will bolster the pass rush on a unit that looked solid in its first year under coordinator Jeff Hafley.

Additionally, the Lions lost their two coordinators to head coaching jobs this offseason, and it may take some time for them to settle into their new play-callers.

The Packers propelled themselves to Super Bowl contention by acquiring Parsons in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys and will be looking to make a statement.

It won’t be easy, and the NFC North will be one of the toughest divisions in the league, but Green Bay will look to make Campbell fall out of love with its home field.
