Micah Parsons Shows Off New Packers Threads

It took them a while, but the Green Bay Packers finally made a power move.

Acquiring All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons is the type of trade that could take them to the Super Bowl

Though he hasn’t been there long at all, he seems to be getting acclimated just fine.

As shown by Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the former Dallas Cowboys star is practicing with his new team ahead of the season opener.

Parsons claimed to be dealing with a back injury during Cowboys training camp, even seeing a specialist after his MRI came back clean.

Clearly, things became personal in contract negotiations with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and the Packers swooped in to make the most of the situation.

The Cowboys have a long history of rubbing their star players the wrong way and then overpaying to appease them at the last second, but they hadn’t dealt with one like Parsons.

He held his ground and forced his way out of a team that clearly didn’t value him as the superstar he is.

The Packers needed help getting to the opposing quarterback, and adding a player of Parsons’ caliber will elevate their defense after a promising first year under coordinator Jeff Hafley.

It’s too early to tell whether the Packers or the Cowboys won this deal, as Dallas received two first-round draft picks, as well as run-stopping defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

But as of right now, Packers fans should feel confident about their team’s championship chances.
