Mike McDaniel Reveals Update About Tyreek Hill’s Week 1 Status

The Miami Dolphins can’t afford to be without one of their stars.

Tyreek Hill’s availability for the season opener vs. the Indianapolis Colts has been up in the air, as he’s dealing with an oblique injury.

Nevertheless, head coach Mike McDaniel sounded optimistic about having the former Super Bowl champion on the field in Week 1.

Hill has missed the past few weeks with the injury, but he’s reportedly expected to do some work soon in practice.

Per the head coach, they’re going to take things slowly with the former Kansas City Chiefs superstar.

They don’t want to risk any setbacks that could jeopardize his status for the first game of the season.

Hill is coming off a fairly disappointing season.

His numbers weren’t what they used to be, and he got on the team’s wrong side with his late-season outburst.

Even QB Tua Tagovailoa called him out and said that he needed to repair his relationship with his teammates.

The Dolphins are one of the most intriguing teams in the league this season.

They’re under a lot of pressure, up to the point where Coach McDaniel is the odds-on favorite to be the first head coach fired.

Hill, who requested a trade and said that he wanted to leave at the end of the season but later changed his mind, could also be on the trade block at some point if things don’t go their way.

Their first test of the season will come against Daniel Jones on the road.
