Cam Newton Has A Strong Belief About Joe Burrow

The Cincinnati Bengals have a true superstar at the most important position in team sports.

That’s why, despite their doubts on defense and in the head coaching department, Cam Newton likes their chances this season.

Talking on ESPN’s “First Take,” the former MVP said that Joe Burrow was more likely to make the Super Bowl this season than Jayden Daniels.

“Joe Burrow did everything but make tackles and cover people on defense,” Newton said.

Ironically, Daniels got the best of Burrow and the Bengals in their first career matchup, but that wasn’t on Burrow.

The Bengals’ defense was one of the worst in the league last season.

The Washington Commanders, on the other hand, have gone to great lengths to give Daniels the type of supporting cast he needs to find success, which is something Burrow can’t say.

The Bengals kept Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but they’ve failed to field a competitive team everywhere else.

Granted, they finally sorted things out with star defensive end Trey Hendrickson, but there’s only so much he can do.

The Bengals and Commanders have been complete opposites in their approach to helping their young superstar quarterbacks.

And while most people may agree that Burrow is still a couple of tiers ahead of Daniels, the same might not be the case with their teams.

Still, with the way he’s played since he entered the league, it may not be wise to put your money against Joe Burrow, regardless of who’s by his side.
