The Houston Texans entered last season with high expectations.
They looked like a team poised for a deep postseason run, but they failed to live up to the hype.
They made the playoffs, but never looked like a real threat.
That was especially the case with quarterback C.J. Stroud.
He wasn’t as impressive as he was as a rookie, casting some doubts about his superstar potential.
Yet, he recently said he has no regrets about last season.

To be fair, injuries did play a big part in the Texans’ somewhat disappointing campaign.
The offensive line also couldn’t get anything going, and not even having Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil was enough to keep Stroud out of harm’s way.
The Texans made some big moves this offseason to shake up that unit.
It might take a while before they get settled in and reach their best form, so it’ll be interesting to see how the team fares early this season.
They also lost some pieces on offense, and with injured running back Joe Mixon set to miss the start of the season at the very least, Stroud might have to do most of the work.
Whether he’ll look more like the star he was as a rookie or the middle-of-the-pack QB he was last season remains to be seen.
