The overall business climate (95.8) is little changed compared to July (95.9) with just a marginal dip in services sector sentiment. That said, business sentiment for retail trade fell on the month but was offset by brighter prospects in building construction. However, employment conditions continue to fall off after a bounce in June earlier, with the indicator there falling back to 95 (down from 96 in July). That’s the lowest reading since May.
