The New England Patriots keep making moves.
With Deneric Prince being waived with an injury designation, they added yet another running back to the mix.
And, as shown by Los Talks Pats on X, the newly signed Shane Watts could be someone to keep an eye on in the final couple of weeks of training camp.

Watts is a rather unknown player for most fans, which is far from a surprise since he played his collegiate career at D-II’s Fort Hayes State, where he earned All-American Second Team honors in his final season.
Standing at 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds, he actually began his career as a defensive back, and it wasn’t until his junior season that he made the transition to offense and he hit the ground running with his speed and athleticism.
In 22 games at running back, he logged 1,979 yards and 18 touchdowns on 334 carries.
He was also a factor in the passing game, adding 606 yards and five touchdowns on 61 receptions.
Of course, the Patriots are already more than set at running back.
They have star rookie TreVeyon Henderson and veterans Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson at the top of the pecking order, with Jamycal Hasty and Terrell Jennings also in the mix.
Still, given his athleticism and ability to contribute to multiple aspects, perhaps he can find his way to the roster as a special teams player or just for depth purposes.
As for Prince, he can revert to the Patriots’ Injured Reserve (IR) list if no team claims him off waivers.
