Chargers WR Is Struggling At Training Camp

The Los Angeles Chargers came into the offseason with the understanding that they had to find more pass-catchers for Justin Herbert.

Herbert was identified as a strong passer in his rookie season, and people around the league believe he can succeed with the right teammates.

Adding Ladd McConkey was a big step in 2024, and he proved to be a great option in the passing game.

After seeing that success, the Chargers decided to try their luck with another receiver in the 2025 draft, selecting Tre Harris in the second round.

Early-round receivers have been hitting at a high rate in recent drafts, but if the video recently shared by Dov Kleiman is any indication, things are not going well with Harris to this point.

This video highlights several drops from the Hall of Fame Game, which confirm what many analysts have observed from him at training camp.

Things can certainly change for Harris leading up to the season, as several players in the past have struggled at camp but picked things up as time went on.

That could still be true for Harris, of course, but Herbert and his teammates don’t have time to wait, especially with the AFC being a strong conference.

They have the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos in their division, two of the top teams in the AFC, leading into the 2025 campaign.

If Harris doesn’t figure things out soon, and Herbert can only rely on McConkey and lesser options in the passing game, the Chargers’ offense could struggle from the jump.
