Analyst Names 6 Teams That Could Pursue Terry McLaurin

The Washington Commanders have found themselves in the middle of conversations in NFL circles lately, but it hasn’t been due to their fantastic 2024 campaign.

Instead, people are talking about Terry McLaurin‘s recent trade request, as he appears unhappy with the way he’s being treated.

McLaurin’s contract is about to expire, and considering the Commanders haven’t been in a rush to sign him to a new deal, he’s taking matters into his own hands.

The team has expressed that they have no intentions of trading him, but that’s not stopping fans and members of the media from running wild with potential trade proposals and interesting landing spots.

Analyst Nick Shook, for example, mentioned that in a recent article on NFL.com, six teams in need of wide receivers could reach out to the Commanders and put their best pitch together.

Shook called out the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, and Cleveland Browns as teams that could make sense for the veteran WR.

All six of these teams have needs at receiver, but the 49ers and Chargers are the only two that have been playoff teams in recent history.

If McLaurin gets traded, it’ll be interesting to see if he’ll go to a contender that’s a few pieces away from being truly dominant, or if he’ll only chase money and settle for any team.

The Commanders were among the best teams in the league last season, so it might prove difficult to find a more intriguing new home.
