Tottenham are in talks with Bayern Munich regarding a potential loan deal for midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to reports.
The 30-year-old moved to the Bundesliga champions last summer from Fulham in a €50 million transfer but endured an injury-disrupted first season in Germany, managing just six league starts.
Spurs had previously shown interest in the Portugal international before Thomas Frank was appointed as their new head coach.
It is also believed that Palhinha would be keen on a switch to Spurs in order to get more minutes under his belt and remain at a team in the Champions League.

Palhinha signed a four-year contract upon joining Bayern and described the move at the time as “one of the happiest days of my life” and “a dream come true to play for one of the top teams.”
Reports have also indicated that Tottenham have been encouraged to test Bayern’s willingness to sanction a temporary move.
The North London club remain active in the transfer market as they look to strengthen several areas of the squad, having already completed deals for Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split and Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale.
