Hassett is Trump’s director of the National Economic Council.
He tends not have independent views, in my experience, merely repeating Trump’s favoured talking points. Still, that’s the poor man’s job, despite the hit to his credibility.
So I wouldn’t take his views on what the Federal Reserve might or might not do as being useful.
