Justin Fields Reveals Toe Injury Update

The New York Jets just survived a major scare.

Just last week, Justin Fields was carted off the gridiron with what seemed to be a lower-leg, non-contact injury.

Fortunately, it wasn’t a non-contact injury; someone stepped on his toe.

Fields wound up returning to practice the next day, and he’s even partaken in 11-on-11 drills.

That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to hear him say that he’s fully ready to go.

Talking to Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, the former Chicago Bears draft pick made it loud and clear that there was nothing to be worried about:

“Toe’s all good. The toe is ready to go. That’s a good slogan,” Fields said.

The Jets have veteran QB Tyrod Taylor as his replacement, but it looks like he’s facing no limitations at the moment.

They’ve raved about Fields, and they will reportedly build the offense around his skills.

The Jets have plenty of solid offensive weapons, starting with star WR Garrett Wilson.

Unfortunately, that didn’t translate into success in the Aaron Rodgers era, so it’s easy to understand why some are skeptical and don’t think things will be much better with Fields under center.

The talent has always been there, and he’s one of the most gifted athletes in the entire league.

He’s far from a flawless player, and he needs to improve his ability to read coverages and his decision-making.

But now that this might be his final shot and that he finally has a team that’s willing to let him be the type of quarterback he wants to be, we might finally watch him break out.
