Broader US stock indices turn negative

The major US indices are now trading in negative territory. Both the S&P and NASDAQ indices traded to new all-time intraday highs but given up those gains. The Dow industrial average continues to lag.

  • S&P index -0.04%
  • NASDAQ index -0.01%

Steve Leesman on a CNBC survey sees the market overvalued with 84% see the market significantly overpriced (14%) or somewhat overpriced (70%). Only 16% see the market correctly priced.. The overpriced number is the highest on record.

Looking at some of the big cap names that will report this week:

  • Meta is now down -0.53% at $714 after trading as high $724.47.
  • Microsoft is up $0.80 or 0.15% at $513.25. It’s high price reached $517.62.
  • Amazon is trading at $230.79 down -0.86% after trading as high as $234.72.
  • Apple is trading down -0.65% at $212.65. It’s high price reached $214.81

looking at other stocks:

  • Nvidia up 0.43% at $177.49 are trading to a new intraday high price of $179.38.
  • AMD remains up 3.5% at $179.65. It reached a high of $182.31.
  • SMCI which soared over 10% yesterday is giving back -0.52% in trading today $59.74 after trading as high $61.48..
