The 2024 NFL season is something New York Giants fans would like to put in their rearview.
They finished with one of the worst records in the league, and there wasn’t a lot of hope or inspiration coming from their front office or fan base.
While they can’t change the past, the Giants are looking at building for their future, which is why they took Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft.
Carter is viewed as an impressive specimen, an athletic freak of nature that could take a game over at a moment’s notice.
Giants fans couldn’t be more excited to have him on the defensive side of the ball, a sentiment that appears to be shared by his new teammate, Malik Nabers.
Nabers was drafted one year before Carter, and he had a lot of highlight-reel plays during his rookie campaign.
It seems like it’s Carter’s time to shine, as Nabers mentioned in a recent segment of “Up & Adams.”
“That dude is an animal,” Nabers said.

Nabers mentioned that people are “going to find out why soon” about Carter’s abilities, which is a step in the right direction.
If Carter is anything like what his prospect tape indicates, he could be an instant hit in the NFL and make a monumental impact on the team.
The Giants’ defense could use some work, and Carter should be the reinforcement they were looking for.
Nabers and Carter can’t do it by themselves, but if they contribute at their respective positions, there’s no telling what they’ll be able to accomplish in 2025.
