Analyst Has Worrisome Outlook About Joe Burrow With Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals’ 2024 season was something of a head-scratcher.

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase had a fantastic season together, each putting up strong numbers, but they were unable to make the playoffs, mainly due to their slow start to the year.

Expectations are high for this team heading into the 2025 campaign, knowing what Burrow and Chase accomplished last year, but some analysts aren’t necessarily convinced that everything is sunshine and rainbows for the Bengals.

In a recent segment of “Maggie and Perloff,” analyst Andrew Perloff recently commented on Burrow’s affect and whether or not he’s fully engaged with this organization.

“I’m starting to wonder if Joe Burrow wants to be in Cincinnati… he sounds resigned, defeated,” Perloff said.

Burrow’s play in 2024 didn’t necessarily point to him being frustrated with the team, but Perloff wonders if his recent demeanor demonstrates a change of heart.

On paper, the team has signed Chase and Tee Higgins to long-term deals, so Burrow has two strong wideouts alongside him for the foreseeable future.

There could be something else going on behind the scenes that the average person doesn’t know about, so it could be a wait-and-see approach from Burrow over the next few months.

His on-field play during the 2025 season will tell fans a lot about where he’s at and what his motivation levels are.

This team has a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, as demonstrated when they made it to the Super Bowl in 2021.

Do they have what it takes to get back to that place in 2025?
