Former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary recently offered his perspective on the upcoming race.
“When I look at the NFC West, my gut tells me the 49ers. But I must say that, if I look at the roster, the Rams are going to be right there,” Singletary said on “Up & Adams,” via Coach Yac.

The 49ers enter as many experts’ favorites despite finishing 6-11 last season.
Their optimism centers around the return of Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Nick Bosa, plus a healthy Brock Purdy at quarterback.
The return of Robert Saleh as defensive coordinator adds another layer of confidence. San Francisco also benefits from the NFL’s easiest schedule with opponents having posted a .415 winning percentage last season.
