The Kansas City Chiefs have struggled with blindside protection for most of the Patrick Mahomes era.

Nevertheless, if there’s something they can’t complain about, offensive line-wise, it’s the center position.

As shown by The 33rd Team on X, Creed Humphrey has been utterly dominant for the past couple of years, leading the league with the lowest pressure rate (1.4%) among offensive linemen with at least 1,000 pass-blocking snaps.

Unsurprisingly, Humprhey was recently included in the league’s Top 100 players list ahead of this season.

He got the nod at No. 93, which was well deserved after logging the highest PFF grade among centers (92.4) by a significant margin.

He also led all centers in pass-blocking grade (91.5) by nine points, and he ranked second in run-blocking grade (90.5).

Humphrey is coming off getting his first first-team All-Pro selection, all while also getting a third consecutive Pro Bowl nod.

Andy Reid and company took Humphrey in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and while it’s still way too early to say, the former No. 63 selection is putting together a Hall of Fame-type résumé.

So far, he’s logged three Pro Bowl and one All-Pro selections, all while anchoring an offensive line to a couple of Super Bowl titles.

The Chiefs still need to figure out some things in the offensive line, and they must make sure to give Patrick Mahomes a clear pocket.

But at least they won’t have to worry about the center position for as long as the Oklahoma product is out there and healthy.
