Brian Branch Makes A Big Statement About Lions This Season

The Detroit Lions looked like the best team in football for most of last season.

They were unstoppable when they were at their best, winning games week after week.

Their defense was physical, and their offense was explosive.

Dan Campbell’s aggressive decision-making wasn’t just a reflection of his personality but also spoke volumes about the team’s hunger and belief in their superiority.

Unfortunately, it did little to help when it mattered most, as the Lions couldn’t get past the red-hot Washington Commanders in the playoffs.

However, safety Brian Branch feels that it may be a blessing in disguise.

“I feel like we’re better than last year. We’re hungry, and I feel that’s gonna separate us. Our chemistry is on a whole ‘nother level,” Branch said, via JPAFootball.

Chemistry is going to play a huge role for this team in 2025.

They lost their top two assistants, with defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson leaving for head coaching positions with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears, respectively.

There have always been some concerns about Campbell’s recklessness, so losing his top two confidants might not be good for the team.

Then again, from a talent perspective, the Lions have everything they need to succeed.

They’re one of the few teams that can legitimately hold their own against the reigning Super Bowl champions, and the Philadelphia Eagles are about to find out how hard it is to repeat.

It won’t be easy for Detroit, but the Lions remain a dangerous contender.
