Trevon Diggs Reveals How Long He Plans To Play In NFL

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most polarizing cornerbacks in football.

Trevon Diggs has great ball skills and is always a threat to flip the field.

He also gets burned in coverage and gives up big plays.

Fans either love him or hate him, given his fiery personality, and it seems like they might get to watch him for a while longer.

Diggs recently revealed that he could play for another 14 years.

“I’m 26. [My son] wants me to play until I’m like 40,” Diggs said, via Dov Kleiman.

That’s not unprecedented in the NFL, although it’s not common for a defensive back.

They usually fall from grace once they start losing a step, with several even switching from cornerback to safety to extend their career a little longer.

Also, Diggs has sustained a season-ending injury, and that could take a toll on his body at some point in the future.

Diggs wants to join Ken Griffey and LeBron James by suiting up to play alongside his son.

Truth be told, it’s hard to imagine that happening.

Even if Diggs stays healthy and in shape and wants to play, not many teams likely will be interested in signing a 40-year-old cornerback, not even for PR purposes, but crazy things do happen in the NFL.
