Broncos Are Expected To Sign Former UFL CB

The Denver Broncos were one of the most surprising teams in the NFL during the 2024 season.

Bo Nix played much better than expected during his rookie season, leading to an uptick in production for the team from Mile High.

Expectations are now through the roof for the Broncos moving forward.

They can’t afford to rest on the laurels of a 10-7 season where they made the playoffs, and they’ve been hard at work trying to improve their roster.

Denver is leaving no stone unturned in trying to get better ahead of the 2025 season, doing whatever it takes to improve.

As reporter Zac Stevens noted on X, the Broncos are closing in on a deal with CB Mario Goodrich, a former member of the Birmingham Stallions from the UFL.

Goodrich was a big piece of Clemson’s championship-winning defense in 2018, showing plenty of promise during his collegiate career.

If he can demonstrate some of that promise in the NFL, giving Sean Payton and the rest of his coaches 100 percent effort, this team could have just picked up a valuable piece on the defensive side of the ball.

One player isn’t enough of a change to take down a team like the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills, but it certainly can’t hurt.

The AFC has only been dominated by a few teams in recent seasons, but the Broncos seemingly have a window to make a name for themselves moving forward.

Will they be able to make the necessary moves to improve their standing within this competitive conference?
