The Green Bay Packers recently made a move that was more of a formality than anything.
As many around the league expected, Jaire Alexander’s discontent with the team proved to be too strong a barrier to move forward, and the team decided to part ways with him.
At his healthiest and best, Alexander is one of the top cornerbacks in the league, a constant threat to opposing teams, mainly to opposing wideouts.
Alexander has dealt with numerous injuries over the past few years, however, and with these risks in mind, not to mention his off-field issues with the team, it was time for him to go.
He might not have a home on the Packers anymore, but other teams around the league are interested to see what he has to offer moving forward.
In fact, as Dov Kleiman highlighted on X, Lamar Jackson is already recruiting Alexander to make his way to Baltimore, helping make their defense better.
“Go get him, Eric [DeCosta]. I love all our corners, don’t get me wrong, but go get him, Eric. Yeah, I hit him up. You don’t know. You never know with Jaire [Alexander]. That’s my boy, man,” Jackson said.
Scary: Lamar Jackson says that he already reached out to Jaire Alexander to come to Baltimore 👀

The Ravens’ secondary has been among the best in the league for the past few seasons, and they could be even better with a healthy Alexander on their side.
Nothing has been set in stone yet, but it would be interesting to see the team make a push for him after Jackson’s comments.
You can never have too much depth in the NFL, and if the Ravens want to make a deeper playoff run than they’ve put forward in recent seasons, they’ll have to get creative to continue that success.
