Jaguars WR Has Suffered An Injury

The Jacksonville Jaguars have high hopes for their new-look offense in 2025.

A lot of that will have to do with their passing game, and, as such, with wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

That’s why fans held their breath when the news broke that Thomas had to leave a minicamp practice with an injury.

“Jaguars star WR Brian Thomas Jr. was down on the ground after landing hard on his shoulder, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN,” Dov Kleiman wrote on X.

Fortunately, new head coach Liam Coen confirmed that Thomas’ shoulder was fine, adding that he left for precautionary reasons and not because it was anything too serious.

Cornerback Tyson Campbell broke up a pass, leading to Thomas’ hard fall.

Trainers entered the field to check him out and he was able to walk to the facility.

Thomas was one of the most impressive wide receivers in a rookie class that included Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Ladd McConkey.

Now, even with Travis Hunter on hand, Thomas is projected to be the focal point of the offense, and his chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence was evident in their first year together.

The Jaguars will most likely take things slowly and err on the side of caution with Thomas going forward, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out until training camp.
