Adam Schefter Reacts To Steelers Signing Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers came into the offseason in desperate need of a new quarterback.

Many expected them to pursue the position in the early stages of free agency, but they didn’t go after any of the top options.

Then, the Steelers were said to take a flier on one of the top options in this year’s draft, but again, they neglected to find a young option that could lead the team for the foreseeable future.

After failing to find someone through those two obvious avenues, there was only one option on the table: Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was the talk of the town heading into the offseason, but it took a while for a deal to come together.

He’s now a member of the Steelers, a move which Adam Schefter indicated was incredibly necessary on X, saying that the “Steelers and Aaron Rodgers need each other.”

In Schefter’s eyes, this will be a mutually beneficial relationship, one that makes sense for both parties.

Rodgers didn’t quite find what he was looking for with the New York Jets, and he was unable to bring them to the promised land of the playoffs that so many fans hoped for.

The Steelers are a strong team led by head coach Mike Tomlin, of course, and they could use a former MVP on their side.

Only time will tell how this move will work out for them, but if Schefter’s excitement is any indication, the Steelers could be in for a turnaround season in 2025.
