Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be the missing piece for the New York Jets.
They hadn’t been to the playoffs in more than a decade, and considering his success with the Green Bay Packers for years, expectations were high.
However, after suffering a season-ending injury in the first week of his first season with the team and missing the playoffs in 2024, this pairing didn’t work out as well as anyone intended.
Despite a lack of success with the Jets, the Pittsburgh Steelers kept pursuing him through the offseason, believing he could be an important part of their team makeup in 2025.
That recently came to fruition when they signed him to a deal, a move that has received mixed reviews.
Rob Parker, a FOX Sports Radio analyst, couldn’t be happier about this move for the two parties, believing it will result in great success for the Steelers.
“Not only will the Steelers win 11 games, they will finally win a playoff game and Aaron Rodgers will be the reason why,” Parker said.

Parker is particularly bullish on the Steelers’ chances this year, noting that they’ll win 11+ games, adding a playoff win in the process.
This would be a step in the right direction for Mike Tomlin and his team, who have consistently had records over .500, but have struggled to find any sort of sustained success in the postseason.
Parker believes Rodgers can take them to the promised land, even though his receiving corps is less impressive than what he had with the Jets, a team that he failed to take to the playoffs.
If any coach can resurrect an MVP-like season from Rodgers, it’s probably Tomlin, so fans are cautiously optimistic to see what the next few months will look like.
