George Pickens Breaks Silence On Being Traded To Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys stunned NFL fans Wednesday with a rare aggressive move, trading away future draft capital to land talented wide receiver George Pickens.

While trades of this magnitude aren’t typical for America’s Team, the decision has drawn praise from analysts, fans, and most importantly, from Pickens himself.

Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram recently caught up with the new Cowboys pass catcher, who couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about joining the franchise and its current roster.

“It was like my old draft reaction. I found out when everyone else found out. I feel great, I like the mojo here. I like the swag, there’s a lot of new players I’ve been meeting. I feel like they have a good thing going, for sure,” Pickens shared.

When questioned about his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pickens displayed remarkable professionalism.

Rather than digging into past frustrations or creating headlines with controversial statements, he shifted focus to the present opportunity in Dallas.

He acknowledged the business realities of the NFL while expressing genuine enthusiasm about joining the Cowboys’ culture built around winning.

Contract questions naturally follow such a trade. Pickens enters Dallas with just one season remaining on his rookie agreement, and no extension talks have surfaced yet.

What makes this situation particularly interesting is the quarterback upgrade Pickens will enjoy.

Despite posting impressive numbers in Pittsburgh without consistent quarterback play, he now gets to catch passes from a top tier signal caller for the first time in his professional career.

This partnership could unlock even greater potential in Pickens’ game while providing the Dallas Cowboys with another dynamic weapon in their pursuit of championship contention.

The early chemistry between Pickens and his new teammates will be worth watching as training camp progresses into the regular season.
