Former QB Believes Jayden Daniels Can Sustain His Success

The Washington Commanders were among the most surprising teams in the NFL during the 2024 season.

Fans were cautiously optimistic about Jayden Daniels’ upside, but not even the most passionate fan could have predicted how well this team would play.

They made it to the NFC Championship, something Washington hadn’t done since 1992, a sign that things have turned a corner for this organization.

This was a breath of fresh air for a team that had its fair share of historic struggles, both on and off the field, but it seems like things finally came together for them.

Daniels was well-received by his teammates and fans and is seemingly the face of the franchise moving forward.

Quarterbacks that have strong starts like Daniels can sometimes have a hitch in their second season, potentially getting too comfortable with their positioning, but analyst and former QB Chase Daniel doesn’t believe that’s in the cards for Daniels.

As Daniel mentioned on X, the Commanders have put themselves in a position for “sustained success,” which will help them compete against the best teams in the league.

This is a positive outlook for fans to hold onto, especially since the Commanders struggled to compete for many years.

The NFC East will certainly make things difficult for them moving forward, especially considering they have to play the Philadelphia Eagles twice per year, but it will be a good challenge for Daniels early in his career.

He rose to the occasion in Year 1, and fans are hoping for even better success in Year 2.
