Sean McVay Addresses Jalen Ramsey Trade Rumors

The Los Angeles Rams could get one of their Super Bowl champions back on the team.

Jalen Ramsey is still with the Miami Dolphins, but both parties reportedly have agreed to find a new home for the star cornerback, and the Rams make perfect sense.

Asked about that, Rams head coach Sean McVay didn’t dismiss the rumors.

“We’re never going to shy away from opportunities to increase the competitiveness of our roster or add great players as long as it fits within the framework of everything …,” McVay said, via NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Ramsey was expected to be traded at some point during the 2025 NFL Draft, but that didn’t happen.

Rams general manager Les Snead hasn’t closed the door on a potential return.

They need to add more horsepower to their secondary, and they’re already familiar with one another.

The Super Bowl LVI champion would give his former team a boost, joining a unit headlined by Ahkello Witherspoon, Darious Williams, Quentin Lake and Cobie Durant.

The fact that the Rams didn’t select a cornerback at any point in the latest draft fueled even more speculation about a potential return.

The Rams traded Ramsey to the Dolphins for tight end Hunter Long and a third-round pick in 2023.

Ramsey gave the Dolphins a big boost when he was healthy, and the 30-year-old can still make an impact.

Now, it likely will depend on how much money the Dolphins will have to absorb in any potential deal, and what the Rams are willing to give up to bring him back.
