The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a rough season, largely due to injuries on both sides of the ball, but even before those, there were indications that the team wasn’t quite as good as it had been in the few years prior.
The Cowboys limped to a 7-10 finish, but quarterback-turned-analyst Chase Daniel recently revealed how they can win the NFC East in 2025.
Daniel said that though they haven’t made enough improvement this offseason to compete with the Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders, there is a path to winning the division.
“I do think there’s a blueprint for succes for the the Cowboys to actually win an NFC East title. … If they want to win the NFC East title, the Tush Push better get banned. … The next thing is the Eagles’ defensive losses, I think it’s a bigger deal than we think. … I think Jayden Daniels has to have a sophomore slump. Do I think it’s going to happen? No. … And the last one I think is the biggest thing and it’s the only thing that has to do with the Cowboys themselves, is Dak has an All-Pro season,” Daniel said on “The Facility.”

Prescott was off to a rough start in 2024 before going down with a season-ending hamstring injury after just eight games, and he threw just 11 touchdowns with eight interceptions.
Dallas has had another quiet offseason and hasn’t supplied Prescott with any more high-profile weapons as free agents or in the draft, so he will again be heavily relied upon to carry the offense with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
A lot has to go right for the Cowboys to win the division, but it all starts with a healthy and effective Prescott.
