Jalen Hurts Has Reportedly Made A Decision About Visiting White House

The Philadelphia Eagles dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, and with that championship comes the honor of getting to visit the White House.

Visiting the White House has become a hot-button subject in recent years, especially in the NBA, where multiple teams have opted not to attend at all, and many wondered if Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts would be there.

Hurts reportedly made a decision about his White House attendance.

“Breaking: Eagles superstar QB Jalen Hurts will NOT be visiting President Donald Trump at the White House today. Hurts will not be visiting the White House due to ‘scheduling conflicts,’” Dov Kleiman wrote on X.

Among Eagles players in attendance was running back Saquon Barkley, who was heavily criticized when video surfaced of him getting off a plane with the president and posing for photos with him after a round of golf.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said weeks ago that attendance at the White House was optional for every player.

The Eagles didn’t visit the White House in 2018 after their Super Bowl LII victory, as a handful of players opted not to attend, and the invitation was eventually rescinded.

There is no word on what Hurts’ scheduling conflicts were or if that was just a simple cover for him not wanting to go.

Either way, fans should respect his decision and his privacy.
