6:58pm: It’s a major league deal, the team announced. Chayce McDermott was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. L.A. transferred Ben Casparius to the 60-day injured list to open a spot on the 40-man roster.

6:28pm: The Dodgers are signing righty reliever Jonathan Hernández, reports Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. He was granted his release from a minor league contract with Philadelphia after triggering an opt-out over the weekend.
