UPDATE: The Dinner will resume shortly … the President and other left the ballroom — it’s unclear if he’s coming back
Someone fired multiple shots in the lobby of the hotel where the White House Correspondents Dinner was being held, as President Trump and many high level members of the Administration were sitting front and center.
The shooter is dead … presumably killed by a Secret Service agent. No one else was hurt.
The room was filled with members of the Administration …. President Trump, the First Lady, the Vice President, the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Homeland Security, among many others. Basically the Trump Administration was front and center.
Members of the media and other hid under dinner tables as everyone scrambled to learn what had happened.
