The NASDAQ index is extending to a new session high with us in our to go in trading. The high price just reached 18182.22. That’s up close to 400 points or 2.24%. On January 15 the index rose 2.45% and on March 14 the index rose 2.61%. Those were the two largest percentage gains for the year so far.

The next target is at 18,235.61. That is the swing high from March 7. Above that is the 38.2% retracement of the move down from the February 18 high at 18,338.54.

The S&P is still short of its earlier high at 5766.56. The price is trading at 5761.75. That is still up 93.87 points or 1.66%.
