Chelsea v Port Vale: Commentary, updates, goals and stats from FA Cup quarter-final

Chelsea were handed a plum draw in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a home tie with League One strugglers Port Vale.

Vale have enjoyed a superb cup run, beating Championship club Bristol City and Premier League side Sunderland to reach this stage, and will now pit their wits against a Chelsea team who have struggled in recent weeks.

Liam Rosenior’s side have lost six of their last 12 in all competitions, a run that has seen them slip to sixth in the Premier League table and crash out of the Champions League.

But they will fancy their chances here as they seek to clinch a place in one of the two last-four ties at Wembley Stadium.
